ALICE, TX — On the evening of Sunday, August 23, 2026, Cirilo “Circo” Zamora passed away. Zamora was the School Board Trustee for Place 4, a position he has held since 2019. The news of his passing was first announced by Alice Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Anysia Trevino in a statement released to the public.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our Board Members, Mr. Cirilo “Ciro” Zamora,” part of her statement read. “He will continue to live in our hearts and in the district. Our condolences to his wife Sylvia, and children, Marc Joseph, Matthew and Syrena,” Dr. Anysia Trevino concluded.
Mr. Zamora’s passing will be felt deeply by the community as the 2026-2027 school year commences.
