ALICE, Texas  — Alice High School seniors Emilia Valadez and Steven Ha were crowned the school’s 2026 Homecoming Queen and King during halftime at Friday night’s football game at Alice ISD Memorial Stadium.

Valadez and Ha, who represented the Alice High School marching band, were announced as this year’s royalty before a crowd of students, families and fans.

“I felt really happy in that moment because I saw everyone’s reaction, but most of all I felt grateful for the people who voted for me,” Valadez told the Reporter. “I mean, it’s a big honor to be the person people chose to represent our school for homecoming, so to be recognized in front of the entire community, it was something that I can never forget,” she concluded.

The announcement brought an enthusiastic celebration from Ha and a joyful smile from Valadez, creating a memorable moment during the school’s homecoming festivities.

The 2026 Alice High School Homecoming Court also included freshman Baron Ethan Gomez and Baroness Clarice Hernandez, sophomore Duke David Lopez and Duchess Kamryn Gonzalez, and Prince Andrew Lopez and Princess Milly Pena.
